The first electronic full Welsh language audio book has been published.

The novel Bore Da is read aloud by its author Gwennan Evans and is the first Welsh audio book to be sold on the Audible website where it’s available to download onto smart phones, tablets and other portable computers.

Gwennan Evans, who also presents the trafic and weather bulletins on BBC Radio Cymru;

“I am overjoyed that my novel is the first downloadable Welsh language audio book. Almost three years have sped by since the book was published in print and as an e-book, and hopefully it will reach a wider audience as an audio book.

“The fact that people can hear me read it is also bringing the author and reader closer together.”

Y Lolfa publishers, who have released the Bore Da downloadable audio book, hope to add more Welsh language titles in the future.
